Board
Panel tab
Used by Adafruit GFX and TFT_eSPI. If there's a line of noise along one edge, try another tab. It's the colored tab on the screen's protective film.
Color order
For the Arduino TFT library. Its color calls are made for the Arduino-branded screen; on many generic red ST7735 boards red and blue come out swapped. If your reds show up blue, pick "Swap red and blue".
Pins apply to the Arduino TFT and Adafruit sketches. TFT_eSPI reads its pins from User_Setup.h.
Clock source
Used by clock, date and dial widgets. The software clock needs no extra parts: it starts at the time you compiled the sketch and resets when power is lost. An RTC module keeps time on its own coin cell. Wire SDA to A4 and SCL to A5 on an Uno, or to GPIO 21 and 22 on an ESP32, and install "RTClib" by Adafruit from the Library Manager.

Loading a template replaces the current project but keeps your library, pins and clock settings. Undo brings your project back.
